If you're the kind of person who craves fresh air, taking in the expanse of the sky and don't mind getting a bit of dirt on your mat, outdoor yoga may be just for you. This is a seasonal practice. In fall of 2015 I partnered with the City of Garland Parks and Recreation department to offer Free Yoga in the Park. Camp Gladiator trainers have also asked me to provide their participants recovery yoga for their CG Bold weeks. In my neighborhood there is a large field affectionately called "The Ditch" where I am happy to teach yoga as a donation-based class on Saturday mornings.
The best way to stay informed of Outdoor Yoga opportunities is through my Facebook page:
"'Set you intention'...How yoga started Saturday morning with Sandi. My intention was to connect and be one with nature - the beautiful air, green grass, sound of nature...This set the tone for my amazing Saturday! I highly recommend outdoor yoga with Sandi!! She is amazing!!!" - Oumid Akbar (Bridgewater Crossing)
"I feel so energized. It was well worth getting up earlier than usual for a Saturday." - Dawn Epping (Wyndsor Estates)
Somewhere in the "About" section of the website you might have read a little blurb about me that talked about my non-practical skill as a tree climber. As it turns out, that skill does come in handy for setting up Tree Yoga Multi-Slings.
Tree Yoga is a practice that allows you to enjoy nature and experience yoga poses in a whole new way. You can enjoy the benefits of inversion with support and feel like a kid again. Though it's an absolute delight to practice outdoors, these slings can be used indoors when attached to a supporting beam structure of a building.
I'm happy to teach Tree Yoga as a workshop for a studio who wants to host or as semi-private session to any interested group. I have equipment to teach a group of 12. Contact me at 214-476-9787 or submit your inquiry through the contact form.
